might be a little too hard unless the ally is dead.
It would make sense that they would appear in the absence of a dead teammate. It might even be possible to have them burst out of coffins when one of the players is trapped in a coffin.

Rest in pieces, Flowey.

Rest in pieces, Flowey.
i saw the ban a while back but I only just realized that the three posts before it were also his

haven't checked out the topic in a while, looks heavily improved

Thanks, and RIP in pieces.

Enemy idea: vampire.
Takes on the form of an allied player, but has no reflection in the floor.

Really neat idea for the vampire, definitely writing that one down.

That plus the coffin idea could be very cool interactions.

Got the demons souls style lifebar working,

Communicates things a bit better, also added a bit of a gradient since I'm moving away from the pixel look of the gui.

oh yeah that's definitely nicer

Wait, you mean to tell me you can create your own pixelated player?!?

Its customization features like this why I keep playing games like minecraft...

Good job

Yeah it's a big improvement, now it's oddly entertaining to get hit.

Yeah you can with the in game editor, it's super easy since it's so few pixels.

Customization is a big part of the game, all the dungeons/items/players/monsters are reskinnable, though I still need to add a proper gui to select skins with.

The health bar now gradually goes up when you get health as well, and I experimented with making it a bit pixel snappy.

Not sure if I like the snapping as much as the smooth.

Yeah, the snapping just makes it look laggy

Yeah, the snapping just makes it look laggy

Yeah, fun to mess around though.

I'm going to call this one final for now, the only thing that might change is the gradiants.

This is very responsive, and informs you what's happening pretty decently.

( And of course once right as I'm writing this I notice a bug that makes it freeze lol... )

maybe add another color for when you gain hp?

yeah get rid of the gradient
at least make it pixelated. i feel like that would be a nice touch

i think the gradient looks quite nice

it looks nice but it doesn't really fit. that's why I say make it pixelated

what if it was a thing like in wolfenstein 3d where the face got more and more deteriorated but it was like the actual player where more voxels were gone or something
