or maybe the ground is slippery, but you have full control while on it, you also slow down if you stop moving.
I'm going to try to mirror spelunkys controls on ice, that's honestly the only game that didn't aggravate me with it's ice levels lol.
Just an idea for the ice
there could be like ice skates that you could find in a room somewhere that makes maneuvering on the ice much easier
Spelunky actually had this with the spike shoes, they allowed you to do more damage when jumping on enemies and also allowed you to not slip on ice.
