Author Topic: Bitcoins renewed  (Read 11465 times)

wish i had a gpu mining rig but i just spent most of my money on a personal rig

Bitcoins apparently have a real life currency counterpart called Casascius.

i was going to do this
but i got two bluescreens in a row because drivers are apparently outdated or some stuff

(getting something like IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen)

will that affect anything? :o

I wouldn't bother with mining. Your computer would use more power than the amount you get. You will be competing with people who have custom hardware just for mining. At 700 MHash/s your net profit will be at least $-750 after the power bill.

You could of course buy a custom mining rig that would do about 60,000 MHash/s, about 4-5BC per day. The cost of the rig would be about $1,300.

Wait, what exactly happened to the price?
At one point last year I was going to buy them but didn't because the price kept dropping.
Now they're one hundred loving fifty dollars a peice?

If only I had known.

You're really calculating something wrong if the power bill is that high.

GPU mining is price worthy.

I was going to invest in some bitcoins last month @ £25 but didn't want to risk it now £100, seriously?!
