That give you anything? --- End quote --- A modem has only one ethernet port and usually one cable and/or one or two phone jacks. A router has multiple ethernet ports but no cable nor phone jack. Some ISPs give you a combo router-modem. |

There is the thinner one, which is made by NETGEAR, and a thicker one that's made by Arris. |

Are you sure that the Optimum box is your router, not your modem? --- End quote --- I guess (Pretty sure) that I am provided with Optimum Online SERVICE, because in Firefox or IE, and I just search in the address bar, I get search results with Optimum labled. So Optimum doesn't have the labels on any of our internet machines. |
