EDIT: Great, just visited there, spent a few 20 minutes, fixed a "gross" build in the freebuild section. Now lets see the deathrun.
DOUBLEDIT: Deathrun was great, won it.
Overall, I would recommend this to all of my friends.

Could you add anything else to when you die, like arcade games?
Building get's boring.
ESPECIALLY AN AFK KILLER AND A TIME LIMIT
Or cycling deathruns for a unique deathrun everytime.
Also for the deaths, maybe add "rooms" in every trap that you can "lock" from the inside to keep deaths on the outside out, to guarantee no build steals.
I literally have loads of ideas when it comes to deathrun.

and preferably have admins on 24/7

yes! I loved this server! Is it in its own gamemode form? Because we really need to start using that and it would help set up the server faster.
