This is about usual.

I have 3G internet out here in the mountains. I need an amplifier and an external antenna on my house to get decent coverage. (No, there is no cable or DSL or BPL or Fiber-to-the-home here.)

It's all good though because they are putting up 4G here soon. (4G is usually about 10MBPS down and 5MBPS up with <100ms ping.)

I just installed my new 4G-compatible antenna today.

My desktop is a reinforced wall and a metal desk away from my router, but everything else in the house runs quite well. I've posted several of my SpeedTest results before, but I don't want to dig them out.
