Why when I plant a brick ON a baseplate it won't go onto it?

it's getting annoying.. sometimes it'll plant and sometimes it won't..
How do I fix this?

Disable all add-ons or play in freebuild mode, and then try it.

Does it say "Stuck" or "Float"....be more descriptive rather than it just sometimes works or doesnt

I was in Freebuild mode creating my server. And I will try disabling add-ons, how do I do that?
