you fattot

I already knew people used RATs for watching webcams.

There was a video that some guys posted on youtube after the whole league of legends 'free rp' pop-ups that happened ingame.
For the most part they just recorded webcams, but there were a few users that they forgeted with. In the end, they didn't do anything to harm the people, just exposed potential dangers.

If I ever created a virus/RAT tool, I would just change the desktop background and open up a notepad that says "Don't be stupid, don't download random crap off the internet - This is just a warning, there will be no harm done to the computer." and then the virus/RAT will delete itself.

i looked and you lied

Just don't download anything

The second you download the "module" that the ratter has sent you, they have instant access to your computer this includes:

- your files
- your screen
- your speakers
- your cd-rom drive
- your internet

and basically everything else

RATs are most commonly found in old java applets, because they bypass a lot of stuff that way and even look like a harmless 'java app' on some website. Yeah sure a pop-up shows up saying if you want to run it or not, but that's beside the point.

Anyone downloading an executable RAT is pretty dumb.

Most webcams have a built in light to show when they are turned on. So you would be aware if someone is spying on you.

that doesn't prevent me from looking at you all the time
