The goal is to have a bunch of options. If Marble Man agrees to take a commission off of Tetra, then Tetra doesn't have to do the work. If Tetra chooses to do the job anyway, then Marble Man will (or should) back down, as it was requested here.
This does not, and should not, limit him to trying. If he knows that he can shoot the add-on out faster, then why not? It speeds up production.
Why does this bother you so much?
Side note: I hope you didn't mean me when you were saying "stay in your own topic". Just say "he" instead of "you". I don't have my own topic. I don't make add-ons like I used to.

I was quoting marble
