Not necessarily, Senator Reid claims that it'll be proposed as an amendment rather than a bill.


Good-Congress Man: forget no, this is the most used weapon on these sprees. You can see that allowing non-automatic hunting rifles and shotguns can still abide by these laws, and we can keep pistols.

If somebody was ready to go out and kill several innocent people, what makes you think a bill would stop them from acquiring the weapons in the first place?

Exactly. One could argue that the bill would've prevented law-abiding citizens from acquiring weapons of equal force to stop said mass killers, but that's kind of dumb considering a gun of any caliber is lethal.
