I thought if you can't see the brick they aren't technically there at all and not rendered?

Try placing a large brick in front of a huge build

Bricks are not rendered when they are off screen
Bricks are rendered when they are occluded by other bricks
Bricks are not rendered when their faces are fully covered by other bricks

lots of jvs will lag, lots of transparent bricks are laggier, lots of emmiters are laggy, try to combine smaller bricks into larger ones
