Don't apologize, just fix it without argument. If your girlfriend whispers to you in english class "can you please stop rubbing my butt, I'm trying to focus...," you certainly don't go ahead and write a six page essay about WHY you will stop, HOW you will stop and WHY you did it.

Just stop. Type what you're going to type, press preview, walk away for a minute, come back, read over, and ask yourself "How stupid would I look posting this? Would anyone want to beam me upside the head with a sledge hammer? Am I a disgrace to my famiry? Is this in any-way bannable?"
