Recreating Old Servers?

yeah using islands is probably the best bet. if you want to recreate it to look like the slopes, you either have to:
a. end it with ugly awkward boundaries
b. run out of bricks

the infinite map of the old style wasnt all that great anyways. people have to kill themselves just to get back because the pointless 3 hills on slopes being looped over and over added nothing to game play. draw distance couldnt even see past 1 copy of the map anyways. and the servers that used the looping maps spaced things so far away that the game mode didnt even work.

you dont need much space to ski or fly planes lol.

i don't recall using 3 iterations of slopes, i only recall using one and a half, and everything was within close distance by planes (less than 7 seconds in a plane, instant with teleports).

jorgur's, however, used multiple iterations of slopes.
