@OP, currently shaders on Mac causes some weird lines on the entire screen, the highest setting you can go without everythig looking broken is minimum. Probably the only way to fix this right now is that you can install windows on your Mac and have both the Windows OS and the Mac OS. You need a windows installation cd and a Mac installation cd/USB.

I got Windows 8, but I didnt know shaders will work on it because both of them uses the same graphics card.

Also, thanks for stopping these idiots from bashing Macs.

Well yes it depends on the card also I forgot to mention that, if you get the Macbookpro 15inch that has Intel HD you can't run shaders even on windows. However if you get the AMD Radeon one you will be able to run shaders on Windows. (Regardless of graphics card you won't be able to run shaders on Mac for some incompatibility issue or something with the drivers, I think there's something that shaders requires and it's missing from the drivers.

And about the Mac thing I personally don't like Mac, I like the OS and the way it looks/works and everything but I don't like it because the computers are expensive but I don't care much if someone wants to buy it, I'll just answer their question. (Off-Topic: I think there's a way to run Mac on a PC now you just need compatible hardware and you need to have purchased the new lion OS or whatever it's called from the App Store.)

Actually since it is a laptop newer games you can't run unless you upgrade the laptop and its kinda difficult to do but that Mac book maybe able to run minimum very well idk I have a windows pc

And the retina display has nothing to do with the graphics setting it won't make it better or worse its just what your computer can handle

And macs arnt ment for games they are ment for picture editing stuff movies and stuff like that

And alien ware desktops are kinda good but the laptops are just lit up all nice so you think the laptop it self is nice

Exactly the same MacBook and same problem.

Why cant Badspot fix the shaders problem on Mac?
