Because it's trendy. There are a lot of people that still collect vinyl for nostalgic reasons, but any time you see someone under the age of 30 buy music on vinyl it's likely that they're doing it just because it's the "in" thing.

I own a turntable and buy music on vinyl, but for the most part it's because the music wasn't released on any other format.
