As blocktopia there will be different jobs which produce differenz things. Miners make material to build, oil drillers make gas for jets and vehicles, farmers grow food that keeps people from starving, etc.
ATM its extremly simple for testing purposes.
You buy the plant brick, water it at the right times, harvest it, and sell the produce.
The next game element ill probably add is the ability to turn food into seeds to replant it, or plant new tiles if you have enough, rather than buying a brick and having it produce for ever.
Youll still be able to buy seeds and sell food.
