you need to get all these right, or else your other devices will not automatically reconnect.

do you have a smartphone or other device that can access the internet separate from your computer?
that will be a major help if you forget up

Do I need to port forward?

Once you reset it, we cannot help you and you will be offline until you get your router set up with the proper settings. (SSID, encryption key, and encryption type) Write them down so that you can set them once you reset it.
Ignore the port forwarding for now.
