so i was walking down the street and I found this penny and I picked it up and it had good ol Abe Lincoln on it. It was made in 1951 and the mint is D

BUT on the backside it said in bold letters ONE CENT United Sates of America and on the edges were stalks of wheat

it's not a normal penny I think but I don't know help me bl forums

wheat pennies are pretty common in circulation. a 20dollar box of pennies would have about 20 wheaties.
even in a wrapped uncirculated condition it might be worth 3 bucks Lol. that just covers the cost that a dealer self graded it for.

however as a pre1982enny, they are made of copper still and not the new stuffty zinc ones. that's worth about 2.2 cents.
