DM concept - ban hammer fight

So I was joking around with some friends yesterday while working on a project of mine, and I wondered out loud "What if we gave everyone ban hammers that could kick people, but didn't require admin to do so..."
We laughed, pondering the fury that would be the chat, all caps and foul language and "EAT stuff." But then I stepped it up a notch: what if I was typing something, and RIGHT as I got hit, my sentence was cut off and a hypen was added to the end. This would be like you were talking, but got cut off mid-sentence. For example:
AdinX BANNED Bob
AdinX: LOL EAT THAT SUCKA
Bob connected.
Bob: Yo wtf I totally had you.
AdinX: Lol no you d-
JoeShmoe BANNED AdinX
Bob: Lol nice
JoeShmoe: ;)
This would probably require a server to be a dedi, but at the same time I've been kicked from my own server and it has remained operational, so I imagine anything is possible with this one. It's just a concept, and I'm curious what people would think of something like this. I have no desire to make this sort of DM, I just thought "Gee, why not present the idea to the forums, maybe someone might use it."
So yeah, discuss I guess, not really any pros or cons since it's all a game.

I actually kinda like the idea of making a PNG of a blockhead getting hit in the back of the head with a hammer. Blockhead black, hammer red. Dunno. It'd also be beneficial to not seperate the kills and the chat, which is what I do on my server just to prevent the clogging of chat.
