Author Topic: Chat Customizer (Beta v5, nearly ready for the Add-Ons section)  (Read 11247 times)

Why is my typing text really small but when I send it it shows up as normal size?
I have it set the actual chat size to the lowest for the images that might appear beside chat lines.
Also, is comic sans not a supported font?  :cookieMonster:
Comic Sans MS*
You can't add the the default ratio buttons that are in the chat size setting?
I think they would be useful if you don't want to use the slider.
Why would I do that when you have more options because of the slider?

Added:
  • Chat previews!
  • Color chooser that automatically converts to hexdecimal values for the color options.
  • Messages from yourself now have their own sound if the Chat Sound option is enabled.

Fixed:
  • The options GUI is no longer being entirely replaced.

You should change the yourself in the preview to $Pref::Player::NetName.

Realized that shortly after I released it.
Next update.

This add on seems to mess up the size of your typing box.

Also add the clan tags aswell.

Well, could you add a slider for that because I really don't like it when I'm running on my huge monitor and have to focus on this tiny little text to see if I typed something right.

I can but I can't guarentee it will look correct once it's bigger.
If it's bothering you that bad right now, enter "Opt_SetChatSize(0-10);" in your console.

I'm not sure there's a way to fix it.

Because the Ratio Buttons are more accurate, unless you can make the slider have an option to snap on to the original default sizes, you know have a checkmark box that has an option "Snap on to default sizes"

that's just stupid. You have more options to choose from because of that slider.

This.

Time on the left side of the chat.
Pls.

You know what else you should add?
The ability to move death messages and the chat to different areas of the screen.

And maybe the ability to add a fading effect to chat to where chat ends if possible like for when your scrolling up/down chat.

easier said than done.

(note to self)
  • Time toggle beside chat, add color option
  • Try doing an autoscale with the OPT_SetChatSize command for images (1-5 might work best)
  • Update preview to show actual name and clan tags

Pretty sure I've seen this floating around somewhere, but I don't know if it conflicts.
If anyone can find it, let me know so I can double-check.
