Terrain coming back? (April Fools)

So apparently, I hear that there's a chance that terrain will be coming back? There was talk on Badspots server awhile ago between some people and Komp and he was making vague suggestions that there's a chance we might have terrain back?
I hear that there'll be some big update that will involve all sorts of things, but that's only a theory I've collected from a ton of sources. what do you guys think?

Kompressor said that the shadows and shaders with terrains and interiors just make code harder to make. Doesnt mean that its impossible.

It would be really cool actually, I miss the exploring on terrain maps and such

Ive seen games that have Terrain AND shadows/shaders, so why not BL? :D
But then again that game was probably running on a different engine..
