What's the deal with everyone asking for "indie game suggestions"?

a lot of indie game developers have more fresh and fun ideas than a lot of big-name companies have these days. it's surprising but it's true.

Chrono:

I see some interesting 'big-name company' games while also seeing some pretty stuffty handicapped indie games.
I also see some stuffty 'big-name company' games while seeing pretty good indie games.

So I still don't understand anyone's point. Whether somethings funded and run by a publisher doesn't really determine if something's good or not.

No, Minecraft was just a part of that rush.

It started around the time Minecraft came out, and it definitely did contribute, but it wasn't by any means the sole cause.
