I also noticed, which I don't really like this is that they have a sort of draw/render distance for the shadows. You only see the shadows and a certain amount of them depending on how close you are.
EDIT: Final note (for today at least), the shadowing isnt really that good. Only a certain amount of objects have shadows (seems like an engine limitation or they are doing this for performance). Player lighting is not integrated with the voxel lighting (confirmed by an admin, well be added later). Some things are just odd about the lighting, the effect going from darker to lighter is really cool and nice but having some objects have shadows and have others not makes it really awkward.

Now they need to add spectrum and normal maps to everything to appear chewed up. (Because I remember when I was little, with legos, and they were stuck the forget together, I'd pull them apart with my teeth. What do you expect from MegaScience the moron? But our lighting is great and dynamic IMO
Sure the dots don't look the greatest but all the lighting is fully dynamic and you can't loving beat that.
