I will join

I am good on Evolution/Industrial/Modern/future ages.

AdinX:

Wasn't able to host today cause my dad was hogging my computer. :L
Can't really kick him off since he maintains it and keeps it updated. That and if he uses it, he's more motivated to spend money on it (hence how I got a killer sound system, dual monitor setup and an extra terra of data all within a week)

AdinX:

Aight guys, server is up for the day, I'll be hosting until 2pm EST, then my dad needs to use the computer for an interview. For that duration of time, I'll have a temporary host take over and I'll lock my account so my dad can use his while BL runs in the background.

AdinX:

There have been a lot of comments about the terrain in-game (I've been afk a lot today, but I do in fact read the chat believe it or not!)

Apparently Baddy came to check it out. Judging by the chat lines, he stayed long enough to take a peek at what was around. We also have a new empire that has popped up.

I'm thinking about re-making the map before it gets too crowded. Being that this is made with GSF procedural terra-gen, I've experimented more with the generator. All I need is a good looking seed with a good water / land ratio, and then I can update the map. It all really depends on whether or not people show an interest in playing.IMPORTANT NOTE
I've made up my mind, this week-end I'm going to delete the map, expand the build zone, and hand-build the terrain. While the process at first was simple, zone bricks and public bricks have over-complicated things. I'm running a few tests on the server as I type this out, and I'm going over past map designs in my head.

I have to go on a college tour tomorrow, down in South Carolina. I should get back home the same day, I'm assuming sometime around 4~6pm EST. Unless I finish the new map tonight, I will probably be working on it tomorrow. While this does mean people cannot build on the ACTUAL map, there are slots for dup plates where I will allow players to build instead!

AdinX:

Alright, right now I've got the GSF PTG hard at work creating a much flatter terrain with a few lakes and a large body of water. I've had to make some modifications, but overall same concept.

naval battles are not realistically possible - the depth of the water near land is just too shallow, to build a realistic ship you would have to build a dock reaching maybe 20 studs out, at which point looks like it wouldn't be sturdy at all unless it was a MASSIVE dock. Then there's the matter of whether or not OTHER people will bother with naval travel.

That said, small water-craft would be acceptable.

THE NEW TERRAIN IS HERE!

update:
I've run into a bit of a snag due to a bad save. I lost some progress and I gotta get off for the night. I do have the terrain still however, so I included pictures of that above. The terrain is MUCH flatter, and the variation in height ranges from a single brick, to two plates. I like the map personally, but we'll see how popular it turns out. I will have to utilize a few different systems to curb a few technicalities, but overall this should work nicely.

Oh and the brickcount is something like 108k, lol.
