http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/48549/nintendo-closing-wii-channels-and-online-services-this-june/ This news hit me right in the childhood I remember I was so excited when I first got my Wii, it's sad to see it finally recede into death RIP in peace Wii :c |
| Freeze:
Sucks that those channels are going, at least virtual console is still here though. :D |
| Cookiez664:
That is handicapped. Cmon Nintendo! |

In comparison to Xbox where it was supported till 2007 after the Xbox360 was released, this is a pretty damn short time to cut the plug on a console's internet services, but why would they support a pretty much dead console since there is a new one out already? The Wii U has a perfect Wii emulator. All the Wii U is missing is the GameCube controller ports, but i bet that the GameCube controllers can be replaced with the Pro controller or the classic one. I sure hope EA doesn't cut the multiplayer mode from BF3 any time soon when BF4 comes out. You should post stuff like this to the Nintendo Megathread. |

I didn't think Nintendo was so quick to abandon their outdated consoles. Fortunately I don't think many people still use those channels, they were more gimmicks that you use for the first week after bringing home your Wii than anything. |
