What is the most amount of players in a server you've seen?

I've seen roughly 90-100 on the 2011-2012 New Years server party, it was awesome and very laggy.

I always thought the maximum amount of players in a server you could have was 99 or 100.

I had a bunch of fun on it, I hope he hosts it again this year before 2014.
