i dont want half the page taken up by giant pictures, if sigs were enabled thered have to be an image size limit
Most (good) forums I've seen that have signatures enabled on regular posts will have a restriction on the height and width of pictures, and sometimes even a limit on the amount of individual pictures allowed in one signature (more than just a character limit).
I suppose I wouldn't mind them too majorly if they were organised and clean, but it would easily promote all sorts of annoying crap.
You'd have people putting in their stupid "Click this link and feed my internet dragon" images.
There would be an enormous amount of random quotes leading to things people said 4 years ago.
You'd probably still have people using "How many people visited this page" sort of thing, which would be annoying on a signature.
You'd have people putting in made-up titles/awards/badges.
You'd have people putting in images and links to their fandoms, which would cause numerous arguments.
You'd also have lots of creeps who constantly praise other people in their signatures to gain their attention.
Loads of random links/"endorsments" to Add-Ons they like or have made.
The only useful things I would find in a signature on these forums would be a banner/link to a Clan topic, banners/links to server topics, and one of those "My server is Up/Down" images.
