The best v21 argument I've seen.
Altiris:
You guys probably haven't realized this but if you TRULY wanted Terrain back or some feature added in you would just protest. What type of protest you say? The simplest, shutting down all of to servers, not a playing the game. Blockland (with every single other game) runs off the community, no community = nobody buys/wants to play the game (kind of a bad brown townogy I guess but idk). While this seems pretty mean and cruel to Badspot (I'm honestly imagining him seeing nobody playing his game, I truly do like Badspot as the creator) it's probably the only way to get what you want.
If something like this happens don't me please, I didn't mean to start anything
Off-Topic but this is the same with Call of Duty, players complain at the lag and cheap shooting people around corners yet they buy the game every single year knowing everything is the same and still whine every single year, if they want the problems to be fixed just simply rally up a ton of people and not buy the game when it releases.

well its kinda hard to abandon a good game (blockland, not CoD) just because you're dissatisfied with one thing.
i'd say that protesting and stuff really doesn't work and we should just be patient. Badspot has a life and a separate job than this; its not like he can churn out code and updates all the time, let alone want to in the first place. family and/or friends end up being pretty important later in life, so don't be pissed if he dedicates time to that.

This is getting real tiring.
Did I appreciate maps? Yes. But if we have to sacrifice the shadows and shaders to bring maps back then, I'm sorry, but I really don't want that. I am pretty sure a lot of other players agree with me, and perhaps even more than those who want it back regardless.
Why choose between equal sides of the playerbase, and why choose the one that takes a load of steps back from the game's progress?

Protesting does work, if you have a lot of people. While Badspot may have a life and another job he could most likely spend a few hours on a certain day coding a little bit but we don't know for sure.

A protest is pointless. It won't work. Firstly, most of the people I've encountered like the shaders, so they're not going to protest. The other half of the people who don't like shadows won't know about a protest or have the courage to do it. This is a simple game, not some law that's being passed. If protesting DID work, Badspot would just sell Blockland and move on or something, he likes his game but he's not gonna try to do something to save it. But again, it won't happen.
