What do guys think the next update will be?

i'm desperately hoping for either improved shader functionality (i.e. artificial lights casting shadows, whatnot)
or a vehicle physics overhaul

Only the sun will be able to cast shadows, it would be too much to render.

Better vehicle physics, crisper graphics without the use of shaders, a new interface on the Blockland browser and different in-game GUI's.
