Nope, my ass and snake was never touched

how do you know

Almost the same with athiests. But thats another story.
uh what
pretty sure athiesism has no specific rules like christianity other than that you don't believe in a god

What about wearing clothing made of multiple fabrics? I mean, boyscout patches violate that.

? Where does it say that?

If I rape a woman she has to marry me!  It says so in the bible!

? Where does it say that?
"If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated (anah) her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NIV

Deuteronomy 22:11 You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, as of woolen and linen together

Nah, I was saying that they were a similar problem about not being aloud in BSA.

I'm a BSA Scout myself.

i see
what sort of god hates people with different likes and dislikes
that seems unfair?

just a good amount of stupid people following something that was written in a book hundreds and hundreds of years ago, and only listening to what they want to hear.

Oh.. I'm not allowed to wear two different fabrics?  Well that doesn't count!

Take away rights of a large population in America?  Sounds good!

my friends are against it because
"my kids are going to be in it and i dont want them to think its ok to be a cigarette"
word for word

I never said hate. God loves everyone.

i was in the BSA too until i got kicked out for never listening to the counselors

thats kool if they allow gay ppls in it

if he loves everyone why does he have to segregate people. i guess you think race segregation is okay to? maybe blacks shouldn't be allowed to join either? or maybe people with glasses?
im fine with people being christian, i myself am agnostic, but i'm not okay with people putting other people down due to their religion as that is just wrong.

well since its a private club. its not really an issue of "deserving" anything or "rights" since none of that applies at all.

gay people have never been barred from starting their own youth clubs. they just were lazy and fought to join existing ones with religious based values.

the official BSA organization just fell to pressure over funding they were getting from people. and the funding they may stop getting if they dont play nice to gay people.
in the end its just about making more money, its got nothing to do with being nice to gay people.
as an assistant scoutmaster/eagle scout, this is basically it. i don't give a damn what you are, but a private organization like the bsa has no ability to be strongarmed by anyone legally, they can do what they like.
they can get "boycotted" though and change it that way.

I never put down the atheist religion... I just said it isnt allowed in BSA, sheesh. Stop overreacting. And BTW, 95% of my friends are black, mexican, canadian, wear glasses, half blind, and deaf.

Atheism isn't a religion; it's a belief.
And would you like a  :cookie: for having friends of color?
