"Sir, we've got an anti-ship offensive headed our way."
"No worries, Ire, we've prepared. Seal all bulkheads."
"Yes, sir."
The shudders over viewports close, with a thick layer of steel covering them. Admiral Dern presses down on the ship's intercom button, leaning into the microphone. "Attention all passengers, please put on your ear protection found in your quarters immediately. All those in the bay, prepare to drop and activate the UHFSD." (remember me?)
The Admiral released the button, and moments later, the intercom from the bay requested to be received in the bridge. Dern accepted the request.
"Admiral, the device is ready."
"Understood, drop and activate at your will."
"Yes, sir." Admiral released the button, placing a large headset over his head, those in the bridge did the same. Soon, the bay doors opened, and a large spherical object dropped out, which then began to spin rapidly, and instead began to slow down to hover in place. Soon, it released a deafening ring that could be heard for miles around, that shattered unprotected glass and caused an unbearable pain in the ears, followed shortly after by deafness. The cruiser's engines by now, would be prepared for a high speed jump. The jump was authorized, and the ship's engines lit up the sky, the glow so bright it momentarily blinded any who stared directly at it. The ship began to oddly stretch, before an incredibly loud boom could be heard by those who weren't deaf, followed by a large wave of wind that rocked the interceptors and Victrixes with massive amounts of turbulence. All that was left now was a streak of color that lead away from Earth, which quickly dissipated.
