Blockland overheats my laptop
(1/2) > >>
starwars45:
This didn't used to happen, recently whenever I played Blockland it would overheat my laptop, like it would immediatly shut down. Any help? It stops me from building, and I really want to build some things.
Altiris:
Maybe you have shaders on or something, try other games besides Blockland and if that makes it shutdown/overheat then its your laptop not cooling efficiently.

Shaders are off, and when I play Garry's Mod on only singleplayer for some reason it overheats. I think I should get an air duster to clean the vents and fans.

Get canned air and clean out your computer. When I cleaned my laptop, I completely disassembled it, which got a lot more dust out than just spraying air in the vents. You might want to look into that.

Yeah and if that doesn't work there are some of those laptop pads that apparently "increase" airflow, I'm not sure if they work but idk. Another thig, what surface is your laptop on, your lap a bed? You should always put it on a wood or glass/metal table (plastic s also find) when gaming, don't put it on like a pillow, couch or a bed.
