If Nintendo was forcing developers do what Nintendo wants, Team Ninja wouldn't have forgeted up Metroid: Other M like Team Ninja does with all of their games.

Practically stealing profits from wiiware developers. Awesome company.

Those policies were made to avoid shovelware and lower quality titles coming to the Eshop/Wii Store. You could say that Steam is a bad company because they want a 100$ handout for your game to come a part of the Greenlight system and if the game doesn't make it greenlit, all of that money has gone to waste.

Also that doesn't answer my request for proof that Nintendo is controlling these game developers to do what they want. Nintendo simply wanted the guy to fill the policies that everyone else has to fill in, but have no problem with because they're already a development team in an office.

100 dollars is absolutely nothing. Nintendo asks for a couple thousand dollars, not a measly tiny sum of 100. It's almost impossible for any loving developer to actually be able to meet Nintendo's demand. It also doesn't help the fact 10-20% of wii users use wiiware, let alone actually know what it is. It's an online gaming store that is literally worse than Games For Windows Live.

Also may I add it's near impossible to go bankrupt on losing 100 dollars for not getting accepted on steam. Nintendo asks for about 10x more than that and doesn't pay until you reach your goal.

Most developers end up cutting their loses and cancelling their wiiware game because they know it's impossible to actually make a profit.

Well, then Nintendo has higher demands so awful unsuccessful games don't make it into the market.

You're so ignorant it's not even funny. Most of the games on wiiware aren't even successful to begin with. It's a very depressing line up.

Steam makes sure to allow almost everyone in and allow developers to make a profit at least. Pretty sure it won't take long to make a profit on that 100 dollar handout instead of wasting your time with stuffty wiiware that no one uses.

Why are you talking about WiiWare anyways? The Wii console is dead now since the Wii U came out and the Eshop doesn't seem to have any low-quality titles in it.

Actually the wii-U console is almost dead. The wii is pretty much alive.

In January 2013, the Wii U sold 57,000 units in the US.[124] By comparison, the original Wii sold 435,000 in January 2007, also 2 months after launch.[125] Initial sales numbers in the US and other territories were lower than expected, resulting in Nintendo cutting sales projections for FY 2013 by 17 percent, from 5.5 million to 4 million.[126] This has left some critics questioning the future of Nintendo, describing the Wii U as putting Nintendo in "trouble" and suggesting that Nintendo possibly should move out of the hardware sector.[127][128][129]

You're pretty much blind. You'd have to be blind if you think wiiware is a good system and that the wii-u is doing better than the wii.

Nintendo is going downhill fast and after the PS4 and xbox whatever all competition will crush what is left of the wii-u.

I'm pretty sure it will pick up once they bring in the traditional Nintendo home-console titles.
