Then maybe the add-ons or scripts are not so efficient. |

so its winterbites fault you cant host the server? what? when you run a hosting service you're going to have a large audience of clients with different server needs, if you cant handle most of them (alot of the bigger servers that used rtb had lots of bricks) you probably shouldnt be hosting, setting limits on what they can do (cant go over 128k bricks) is stupid |

If somebody wants to host a server on HammerHost with 250,000 bricks, I'm okay with it. But I would warn them that they would not able to fit too many players there. Yes, it is their fault for making their server so demanding. And the fact that BL is single-threaded makes it impossible for anything other than a core i5, core i7, or Xeon E3 to host. I am sorry but RTB had a CPU with excellent single-core performance. All of my CPU cores are based off of an Intel Xeon E5-2620 v2 (2.1 GHz), so it doesn't have a single-threaded performance as good as RTB. I will try running this server on my home computer (AMD FX-6300 hexa-core @ 4.4 GHz), and I also have an old computer. The old computer has an AMD Athlon II x4 635, so it will accurately simulate how well CBMhost will do, since they have a similar CPU to this. After these tests, we will know for sure if it's my fault or not. |
