RTB not working?
Ephialtes:
It's not a potential solution.

The typical user journey (and this applies to 99% of users) consists of connecting, authenticating, playing for a while then quitting. The cache hit ratio would be like 1%. This isn't an issue stemming from a handful of users disconnecting and reconnecting repeatedly.

As it stands the service makes about 0.2 requests per second to the auth server at peak usage on average. Your "solution" would maybe reduce that by 0.001. You're still going to get a single digit cache hit ratio with even a 24 hour cache lifetime.

I have no idea what causes your problems so it's only a possible solution, which you seem to think has no chance at all. You disregard every solution as invalid.
Even if it doesn't help with this problem, it would still keep parts of the service floating in case of master server issues. Try not to be prejudicial. People have issues with you because you never consider what people have to say.

well rtb is awesome to use and all. but if it was down for a day or 2, the community can live just fine without.
its not like... if the blockland master server was down for a few days. then there would be riots in the streets.

How is it a solution?
The solution is that badspot fixes the auth server

Well, no one actually knows the problem.
