From Architectural Engineering Technology to Early Childhood Development

discuss

Why would you give up Engineering ;-;

I've stuck with it for awhile, but the job I have currently has got to me I guess. I work with children doing "Aftercare" (basically glorified babysitting with large groups (anything from 5 kids to 30))
I like being around the kids, trying to teach them right from wrong, helping them grow and learn. It feels good. I didn't think working with kids would be this enjoyable, but it has been. I want to stick with something like this, maybe becoming a teacher, or a specialist. Who knows.

Well, your other option is just to settle down and start a family as an architectural engineer after you get a stable income.

That way, you can have both.

but i want to help children that aren't mine

that way if i forget up at least they ain't my kids
hurr hurr :cookieMonster:

Jobs,
Fun, Well Paid, Legal.

Pick two.

On the financial flip of things, I'd suggest that you stick to Engineering til you get a stable income then do the glorified babysitter thing.

As far as I know being an Engineer isn't exactly an 8 to 5 job.

This glorified babysitting thing is only temp
:n I originally got in it from being a Summer camp counselor, and they offered me a job at their school
I was thinking with the degree I'd go somewhere towards Occupational Therapy or Child Life Specialist.
something like that

But you can build thing as an engineer to teach the children

But the employment rates.

People never run out of things to build, but the same can be said that the world will never run out of kids to teach.
However, the only difference is the amount of people needed to handle either.

IMO, it'd be easier to get a job in an Engineering firm than a Therapist.

And be credit to team!

Architecture is facing a decline in demand due to the global market failing atm

itt: so much stupid

good for you OP, do whatever you love
