There's only one reason to use blockland.us/smf over forum.blockland.us, which is that it's shorter. Now there's no reason, because it doesn't work anymore anyway.

blockland.us/forums is not shorter than forum.blockland.us, so why bother with that?

Well it's the same length, which isn't really good or bad
But it was easier for me to remember early on. I didn't remember to look at the address bar so I didn't know it was forum.blockland.us, so I just did blockland.us/forums
