I've tried everything to get RTB to work, and add-ons, needing help!

I downloaded the duplicator many times, and it didn't work when I dragged the file to the add-ons folder, tried the same process with different add-ons, still didn't work. I also tried downloading RTB so I could use RTB connect, doesnt work either when I dragged it into my add-ons folder.
What do I do?

YES.
There is only 1 add-ons folder anyway.
I'm doing it right and following the simple instructions, it just plainly won't work.

you should post a console log or something

I'm not so technologically advanced, so can you tell me what do I do to get my console log? And what should I have open?
