Saints Row 2 is the best Saints Row

I thought the game's wackiness was a nice break from all the dark grit I'd been wallowing in lately with the games I'd been playing. Sure it's laid on thick, but I like it. I'm actually excited for Saint's Row IV. Sue me.

I liked SR3 quite a bit.. but I was extremely disappointed with the route they decided to take with multiplayer. They've completely dumbed it down to nothing but Co-Op since the first game. Which is sad since the first game had a very competitive and fun multiplayer that I found to be very successful.
It was fun for quite some time though, even if the weapons were really stuffty and the game felt very short.

Not quite sure why you took any of this as an attack on you but there to me there feels like a lack of things to do in SR3, it's because of this I never even bothered to finish the game, it just wasn't as appealing.

stop time traveling please
I kinda agree with this topic. I had a hell of a lot funner time on SR2 than SR3 mainly because the 3rd one grew old to me. I basically dropped my controller over boredom by the time I pinslapped that techno kid in that one mission.

Are you not aware SR4 has already been confirmed quite some time back? I believe there is a trailer too.

Sadly, I didn't even know about Saints Row until 2, but I did try to play Saints Row: The Third. It seems like The Third went in the wrong direction: Blow the insaneness 50x more out of proportion. While the insanity of some parts was fun, the utter ridiculousness it introduced killed my interest before I could get too far. It was purposefully throwing things that made zero since and joking about how it didn't make sense, but while it was acknowledging itself, it was... I really can't explain it. I just don't like how it constantly puts itself over like that. Of course, SR4 is going to do this even more...
Not my place for this.
