I'd recommend Fraps for recording and Adobe Premiere Elements/Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas for editing. Final Cut is good if you're on a mac, too, but I would personally take Premiere Pro and After Effects it (only because I've used these programs and know how to work with them). They are all probably out of price range, but eventually getting your hands on one of them and working with it will definitely help you out. |

You could get one of the consumer versions of Sony Vegas, they're only about $50 compared to their professional versions that cost hundreds. |
