we now have a screen
the top of the plexiglass refused to keep its bowed shape so the top part doesn't actually connect with the frame for the screen but oh well it's a butt
going to do some paint touch-ups while i wait for the glue on my foam sheets to dry
after that's done we should be ready to assemble it :>

Wow. I'm making one of these but there's no way I could get my hands on some plexiglass :z

It looks incredible Carol.

Are you going to decorate it?

i'd think any thin, clear plastic-like substance would do fine

i don't have anything in mind for decoration really, the only detailing i had planned on doing was the black line on the front and the stuff i did for the cable panel and monitor "feet"

But I would need a material that hides my face! Cus I want to get fancy with LED's and such.

You should pattern it with black swirls!

this is the only thing i see when I look at that image

though cool looking hat.

carol's a girl?

hold on, owe someone 5 bucks

jk, this looks so cool ahh! i want it!

carol's a girl?

Also get some cushions in there, so you don't have to balance the thing on your head. :V

sheets of dark window tint for cars work nicely for darkening the plastic

we already started putting them in last night and i'm pretty sure they're all dry now
all we have left to do is a couple of paint touch-ups and then everything will be ready to assemble :>

Keeps looking better and better, Also it even says on Carolcat's profile that she's a girl.

whoa that looks amazing

it's big (but still not done)

Oh I didn't think it would be that big. Mine is much smaller and more suited to be a helmet.

become computer woman!

I bet if you go into school with that your tech teacher will beat you up if he is >50 years old.

Though glad to see it is going along well, good luck.
