The comms are still down. You dock up and head to the meeting room. You can't help but feel infuriated.
Most of them stand and nod respectfully.

It seems the nuke obliterated their whole fleet. Only scrap and parts are outside the shield perimeter.
It takes some time, but the shiled regenerates. It powers up and shields the station from the scrap and parts hitting it.
You should probably focus on repairing your ships.
Your engineers believe they could use the scrap and the parts.
But they'd need a salvage ship.

You mention this to the administration at the meeting.
They send out their own salvage ships to collect it for you.
After two days. The salvage is collected.

They claim they can make ships with the colleted salvage and parts.
They ask what sort of ship would you like.

Your people gather in the colonial square and look up to you for leadership.
You find your self being escorted to that very place. They expect a speach, a promise, an explenation to what happened.
They are all confused, uneasy, afraid.

You recieve a report that none of your researchers are to be found.
The infected but not mutated were draged off by the constructs.
Any spore clusters which formed around the buildings were purged.
The buildings destroyed and then rebuilit with new materials.

I look around, confused. It had happened so fast. All of the robots, descending from the sky and killing all the mutants.

I look down. All the people of my colony, looking up at me or the robots. A few robots pass by me, I try to communicate, but to no avail.

I step out, looking to the crowd of people, "I know what has just happened may confuse all of you... To be truthful, I'm equally as confused." I shout out, "But... Now we can start anew. I realize I havent been the best leader... But I plan on improving."

I give a brief pause.

"Perhaps, if we can get help from these beings, we can perhaps turn this planet into something great. Perhaps turn the AFR into something greater than it already is..."

I stop. Take a breath, and collapse.

Upon finally having your fleet restored to its former glory. The administration urges you to inspect the third outpost.
After your, not so glorious, victory.

You wake up. In your quarters. You hear the rattling of guns and armor outside. Your security is guarding you.
You look to your side. You must have slept trough the night. You feel a lot better than yesterday.
Maybe you were just tired.

The sun shines upon you trough your window. It's a new day and there's a lot to do.
The machines are still there. Ever expanding. You can't help but realize the wall they built around the colony protects you.
Along with their turretlike objects upon those walls.
The large shield protects the colony. No spores, no nothing.
Could it be the spores are outside the shield?
