Most certainly not.
The IllumiRoom seems to work on not only a flat wall.
Second of all, it extends the field around what you see instead of extending what you see.
It's not the same at all.

2 things: it's made to be immersive technology, and it's also optional.
If you don't want it, you wouldn't have to get it.
