--- Quote from: tkepahama on May 22, 2013, 03:44:15 AM ---I like the new design to the controller, console and kinect. The controller adds older and old with new that makes it interesting. I hate people that say it's more of a PC or a media player or just not a game console in general. Might as well not call the Xbox 360 a game console either. Just because they added more social and media features and didn't show much gameplay doesn't mean it's not one, it's not like they could anyways. It still plays games and it's not gonna be just sports games, they did announce that there are new developers making new games for this console, with more franchises. And they didn't say that much about the new Xbox Live portion of it so maybe there's more features for gaming, just got a wait a few weeks for E3. Plus the design is not that close to a DVD player because it doesn't have a bunch of buttons and stuff on it. I am glad they didn't name it "Xbox 720", that would've just been dumb. Xbox One isn't good either but it's better than Xbox 720. --- End quote --- but it is more like a pc, the console actually uses a pc architecture. That's why they said that. http://www.polygon.com/2013/5/22/4354870/cryengine-3-already-running-on-xbox-one BIG NEWS GUYS, PC GAME ENGINE WORKING ON WHAT IS ESSENTIALLY A PC RUNNING WINDOWS. |

--- Quote from: Masterlegodude on May 22, 2013, 01:54:27 AM ---So how does one refer to this thing in short? X1 or X-One? Because typing a couple of extra characters to type out Xbox One is tiring and XO is something that does not roll off the tongue as well as being more commonly known to be used in cards as meaning 'Hugs and kisses' Also, verbally, saying X-One sounds like you're talking about a robot or some kind of science experiment They should have just went with 720... --- End quote --- Still Xbox. Just like the last two Xbox's. |

No one I know says they're playing their Playstation unless referring to the original. It's usually PS2 or PS3 for the others. |

see they cant call it xbox 3 because the ps4 makes it looks obsolete just by name. we all know better, but the average casual gamer these days is actually that handicapped. by that token, the wii-u should actually be called the "nintendo 6" then sony would be forced to start naming the play stations lol |
