Just because they added more social and media features and didn't show much gameplay doesn't mean it's not one, it's not like they could anyways. It still plays games and it's not gonna be just sports games, they did announce that there are new developers making new games for this console, with more franchises. And they didn't say that much about the new Xbox Live portion of it so maybe there's more features for gaming, just got a wait a few weeks for E3. Plus the design is not that close to a DVD player because it doesn't have a bunch of buttons and stuff on it.

I am glad they didn't name it "Xbox 720", that would've just been dumb. Xbox One isn't good either but it's better than Xbox 720.

but it is more like a pc, the console actually uses a pc architecture. That's why they said that.

Yeah, but Cryengine 3 is mostly used to make generic forgettable FPS shooters like Crysis, so it isn't a big whoop.

See the difference is if you say you're playing your "Xbox" you can't assume they are playing the new one now, it could also be the 360 or on the rare occasion the old one which people referred to as the Xbox 1 most of the time because they didn't feel like saying the "original Xbox."

No one I know says they're playing their Playstation unless referring to the original. It's usually PS2 or PS3 for the others.

we all know better, but the average casual gamer these days is actually that handicapped.

by that token, the wii-u should actually be called the "nintendo 6"
then sony would be forced to start naming the play stations lol
