Author Topic: Should I upgrade to windows 8?  (Read 1167 times)

I hear from here it's bad.
But now people are saying it's good.
Stop confusing me forums.
people said it's bad because they either
a) tried the dev preview
b) saw the metro ui and jumped on the band wagon of hate.

here's how my metro looks atm

That looks like stuff and that music thing is completely worthless. But those are the reasons that I wouldn't upgrade to windows 8. There's no real reason to use it over windows 7. If I had to buy another OS I would get windows 8. You can customize it quite a bit from what I've seen and make it look how 7 looks. But right now I see no reason to spend  the extra cash and upgrade.

Yep, I would say it is 20% worth it.

If you have a tablet or a touchscreen you should get it.

If you don't, stick with the Windows 7 master race.

Get VMware Player - It's pretty nifty. Then buydownload Windows 8 and try it out.

I have windows 8, and i really enjoy it, the metro ui and the general layout is fine, and honestly, it's the same thing as windows 7, but there are many more options and general things that you can do with the OS, in addition to what people said, the FPS boost is nice.

Even if you don't really like the metro UI, you really don't have to use it much.

After hearing windows blue coming out, im not sure if i should still upgrade to windows 8, should I upgrade?

Its only been a few months since you downgraded to Win 7.
