Is there a way to get a controller to work with blockland?

I have a PS3 controller and got this DS3 tool to emulate the use of a Xbox controller and I would like to know how I could hook it up to work for blockland or if it would work. I don't want to use xpadder because its really unreliable in my opinion. Is there any way?

i think i've seen things about a program called "joytokey" before

the thing is about these programs were you map controls is a lot of them aren't good with dualshock because when you pull forwards slightly, it sends you at full speed

this isn't necessarily the programs.

games meant to be played with keyboard+mouse most likely don't have controls designed around anything except off/on because keyboard buttons are generally only off/on. the case is the same for blockland.
