How can I edit the storm sky environment so the rain looks like snow?

I was looking for a type of blizzard environment, but it does not exist. Instead I had an idea to edit the storm slate files and replace rain.png with snow.png from another blockland file I had. It worked after I tried a few times. It went well and wrong.

It went well, the transfer worked.

It went bad, because it looks horrid. I think the snow.png is too big. (can you show me another one to replace)

wat do?

How can I make it look better? Any suggestions for how to fix this and maybe polish it(make it look more natural)?

bump

Make sure the image was the same size as the rain, or better yet get somethig the same size as the snow flake image. (By size I mean the image width and height, don't go overboard on the snow your making also).

All the snow flakes I have are so damn big. Could someone find me a pic of something smaller?

I will look for one too, in the meantime.

Ok. what I did was rezize the original snow.png to make it smaller. forget me, right?
