I think it just looks like a ton of scheduling when you first look at the calendar lol.

you get into tourny 1
you win
you wait next week for your next tourny
you win that one
then another week for the next,
so really you only gotta duel like 1 - 3 times until you lose etc

Ohh I thought players had to show up to every single tourney event every other day. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
