I'm not saying they're extremely similar, I'm saying that they have their similarities, but he doesn't think it's similar at all.

By similar you mean almost the same. Similarities, sure, but you said similar.
They're open world, have missions, cars, helicopters, and other assorted stuff. That's a genre.
