Currently we have resetted all of the empires due to the excessive use of nukes and loads of factorys, that caused an dense dust cloud that ofuscates the Sun' rays.
The World is now freezing, the need of heat occasionates fights, the fight for dog food results in death, what you gonna do to survive?
